• George Rasti

  I graduated in Biotechnology from Autonomous University of Barcelona(UAB), then I achieved my MSc in Biomedicine at the University of Barcelona(UB). I am currently enrolled as a PhD student at University of Barcelona(UB) in Biomedicine supervised by Dr. Alex Vaquero. My master research project had been focused on identifying a new variant of histone H1 of Drosophila, dBigH1. The main objective of the PhD project was to study the role of SirT1 and Sirt6 in the protection of genomic integrity and tumorigenesis upon different types of genotoxic stress. It was funded by a grant from Marató de TV3 Foundation.
